New Tiger Print

Using one of my ink drawings I did over the summer, I just edited it a bit more on photoshop so I can turn it into a digital print ready for London MCM October (providing I get in that is)

Done using photoshop cs5 and my wacom bamboo tablet
Time taken for this stage : roughly an hour

Concertina book animals

2nd project of the year. After designing a family from some squiggles I have to send them to the zoo.
While I have some extra time finishing one brief early I've set to work on the animals to go into the book.
Purely digital on Photoshop CS5 using Wacom bamboo

Boggle watercolour

Working on some new print designs for London MCM in October. Scrapping the old style I used to do because I'm not happy with the outcome and I have found a fondness with ink and pen. New design that needs tweaking is my Boggle I created from a trip to Boggle hole need Robin hood's bay. A boggart that lives in the caves near the coast, he can be nice or nasty. Or bored fishing like in the illustration below

BIG Summer update.

Finally have my scanner fixed so I can start posting again. Had a busy summer with various fairs, best one was the classic car show and here are a couple of pieces from it. Some posted on here have been bought!

Lion cub

Had a technical glitch, computer reset itself. So I'm without a good quality scanner for a bit. MCM paintings will be loaded up soon. Started on a piece based of innocent pranks, spent about 2 hours on it so far. Still have a while to go before its finished

Swamp fairy 1 hour

Started on some new paintings for MCM, found some black board in my collection. Nice to draw and paint on so I might be tempted to add some metallic acrylic in there.

Cranking out some more prints

There's always that nasty realisation when its less than 2 weeks until the expo. I forgot to ask my friend to order me some prints, sugar. On the bright side I finished off 2 designs I had been chipping away for the past few weeks. 1 nostagia trip and a Japanese inspired fairy character, happy with both designs except for a few minor details.

Ezio sketch after 20 mins

1 quick post for I go to bed. Just started on my Ezio print for London (gah fan Art eugh)
Scanned this after 20 minutes of sketching it. Thinking what I want to
do with it if it's complete.

Nulla è reale; tutto è lecito. Requiescat in pace.

Lady with the butterfly wings

Another sketch I've been working on, might work on it digitally now I have a lot of free time. Gone for Japanese themed again. I didn't want to use traditional glosmer wings since the kimodos are really decorative you wouldn't see them properly.

Tigers in progress

Working on some ideas for new prints, carrying on with the cute tigers. Started a copic and fine liner sketch.
I might digitally paint on to it afterwards, see how it turns out.

Watch them play

Randomly started drawing cuter stuff while I was at Birmingham. Baby tigers based off a WWF tiger I have at home. Expect more of these guys to show up.

Only a fool would do it that way p3

Took a total of 2 weeks to sketch out all of the El toro frames for the animation.
Original running frames, which would act as a skeleton for El toro.
Hand drawn El toro Frame
Same frame but digitally coloured

El Toro running test

Only a fool would do it that way p2

Background for the animation.
It was originally a painting, until I found out I cut and paste parts of the painting in the foreground on aftereffects.

Only a fool would do it that way p1

Favourite frame, probably because he's screaming.

Another ongoing uni project (yet to finish).
Creating an animation for the phase
'Only a fool would do it that way'
Using 2 characters from a previous project.
Finished off the 2nd known as 'the artist'.

original hand drawn frames
The artist screaming in colour

THIS IS 300 ACRE WOOD

Birmingham didn't go too well. Learnt a lot so fingers crossed for London in May.

In the meantime I've been cracking on with the mountain of university work. Here's one project, mashing 2 films together and producing a film poster same way as the Polish do (apparently)

From left to right. Client visual sketch, computer rendered version.
